As we move into Holy Week I wanted to share a short, daily podcast about the last seven words Jesus spoke. This series was created by a group of clergy in the Greater Peoria area. I’ll be posting one each day, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then two on Maundy Thursday, and two on Good Friday.
The First Word – Luke 23:32-34
Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
